Take a glimpse inside my life.......
C-Section, 1 week early.
The weekend is over. Yay.
I have been sick with this throat/cold thing and normally I can deal with a cold, but it seems as if this thing is hanging on forever, plus I have a sore throat with it. Last week I decided I should see a doctor, which is unusual for me....anyway, basically I don't have strep, it's just the cold thing that's causing me to have a sore throat. The doctor gave me some cough syrup with codeine in it and at least that helps me sleep. I saw the doctor on Thursday morning and came home, took my medicine, and spent the day at home. I did go to work on Friday as I was feeling somewhat better. Today I still have the cold/sore throat going on but I can tell I am getting better.
Meahwhile, on Thursday morning AJ had gone to pick up his sister (J) from the train. The train was almost two hours late arriving, but he knew that since he had checked the status online before he left here. Thursday was spent just sitting around here, me being sick and drowsy from the medicine, J dosing off, and generally visiting. I did have to go out in the evening however, since Aaron had a band concert. Friday morning saw me off to work as usual. AJ and J left here around noon to go to the MOA (Mall of America), so J could do some shopping. They had dinner at MOA as well, then headed downtown for the Craig Ferguson performance, which is why J came in the first place.
On Saturday we headed to Cabela's so J could pick up something for her daughter's boyfriend, then back to the outlet mall in Albertville. She spend time in her favorite store and bought a bunch of stuff. I got a couple things myself but got them both off the 60% rack...a short wool peacoat and a khaki corduroy blazer. Good deals, both!
Sunday was a little more relaxed around here. We went to see Juno in the afternoon and enjoyed it. Sunday evening we sat around and watched the Oscars. I had seen No Country for Old Men and didn't really enjoy/get it, so I wasn't thrilled with the wins for that film. I had to get J back to St. Cloud to catch the train, and since it doesn't leave there until 12:40 am it gets to be a very late night. When we walked into the train station we saw someone from Sidney who was heading back herself after visiting her daughter and her family in the St. Cloud area. Small world....
Today I get to sit here and do nothing, since it is my day off and Aaron is at school and AJ is at work. Because of the fog though, Aaron did have a two hour delayed start at school this morning. I am in the process of doing my laundry and that is about as ambitious as I will get today. Aaron does have a jazz band concert tonight though so it will be a trip out of the house for that.
The weather has definitely picked up around here
, and so has everyone's mood.
