Take a glimpse inside my life.......
C-Section, 1 week early.
We've never been much into "celebrating" on New Year's Eve. Living for many years in a small town where my husband worked in law enforcement, he was more often working than not on New Year's Eve (Halloween was another night when they had extra guys out). And if you read my daughter's blog, you will know that we are boring.....just ask her! Yesterday, AJ did go in to work but was home by noon. The afternoon found us at a matinee of National Treasure: Book of Secrets, then we picked up a pizza at Papa Murphy's and went home to eat it. (Yay, Papa Murphy's!! just opened up here....yesterday was their first day). Then we watched the movie "The Holiday" to close out our evening. So that was our exciting New Year's Eve!!
I don't generally make New Year's Resolutions...I try to just live the best I can and make adjustments as I go. So basically, I will continue to try and be more conscientious about exercising and eating more healthily (is that a word?).
2008 will be a busy year. We have two graduations to look forward to....Courtney from college, and Aaron from high school. Along with those two major milestones, comes the details that must be dealt with.....financial aid and scholarship forms, loan consolidations, announcements, parties, internships, moving, etc. etc., and adjusting to the "empty nest." There will be fun too, as AJ and I are planning a trip to San Diego in June to attend the Men's US Open Golf Tournament. There will be a family reunion for my family and a class reunion for AJ. For AJ there will be hard work as usual, especially with the Republican National Convention coming to town. I will finish up my first year in my new job and evaluate how things went and what should be changed for next year. Who has time to make resolutions???
Here's hoping everyone has a fruitful, happy new year!
peace
